As defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, persons with a physical or functional disability which limits their capacity to use accessible fixed route public transportation may be eligible for demand-response transportation service. The Wave Transit System offers this services through their Brokered Transportation Department.
If you believe you qualify, please call the Brokered Transportation Department at (251) 344-5656. Customer Service personnel are available between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
You may also download an application here and return it to The Wave office. The Wave does not accept faxed applications. Application must be mailed or hand delivered when completed.
The Mobility Assistance Program (MAP) is a transportation option where reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. The cost per trip is $2.50 per or a pre-paid MAP ticket. MAP tickets can be purchased at the GM&O Transportation Center and the Beltline office.
